Flora and fauna are frequent motifs in Ben Mori's work. Frogs, toucans, fish and other diverse creatures are represented in abstract and deformed forms, evoking the life force and energy of nature. His work is also characterised by a fusion of Japanese and American cultural elements, reflecting his grandmother Hanae Mori and his own international background. His art has a unique world view that simultaneously captures the essence of both Japan and the West.

Techniques and styles

three-dimensional dots

A typical technique of Ben Mori's work, this is a three-dimensional evolution of the pointillism method. Countless dots come together to create a three-dimensional, moving visual. This technique has the effect of making the work look different depending on the angle from which it is viewed.

Vibrant colors

His work is characterised by a colorful and bold color scheme. Vivid tones are skilfully combined to create a visual impact, while at the same time maintaining harmony throughout the work.

Deformation and abstraction

By simplifying real-life organisms and reinterpreting them in abstract shapes, the essence of the natural world is expressed from a new perspective.
